Worked on the spring-projects/spring-boot repository to deliver LDAPS support for the embedded LDAP server, focusing on enhancing secure communication for Spring Boot deployments. Implemented SSL/TLS for LDAP connections and introduced configuration options for SSL certificates and trust stores, simplifying the process of deploying secure and compliant environments. Updated the automated test suite to validate server behavior with and without SSL, ensuring robust and reliable functionality. Utilized Java and the Spring Framework to address security and compliance requirements, ultimately reducing operational risk for users relying on embedded LDAP. The work demonstrated strong back end development and secure-by-default engineering practices.
