Worked on the rackerlabs/genestack repository to enhance infrastructure reliability and messaging workflows. Addressed deployment stability by pinning Fluent Bit image tags and Helm chart versions, ensuring deterministic upgrades and reproducible releases across Kubernetes environments. This approach reduced upgrade risks and improved log collection reliability using Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML. Additionally, implemented a dedicated RabbitMQ-based billing messaging path for the Swift service, introducing a new queue, user, and virtual host to decouple billing data transmission. Leveraged Shell scripting and RabbitMQ configuration to improve data integrity and throughput, laying the groundwork for future scalability and observability in cloud infrastructure operations.
