During July 2025, Gw worked on the rackerlabs/genestack repository to enhance telemetry-based billing and improve system reliability. They integrated router events into flex-billing metrics by connecting Ceilometer and Gnocchi, enabling more accurate billing based on network activity. To address schema mismatches, Gw aligned the Ceilometer configuration with the network payload schema by removing the display_name attribute, reducing event processing errors. Their work focused on maintaining coherence across the telemetry stack, which improved billing traceability and observability. This effort leveraged skills in billing systems, cloud monitoring, and configuration management, with YAML as the primary language for configuration changes.
