Worked on the arendst/Tasmota repository to enhance the Pipsolar device driver, focusing on expanding its command capabilities and improving system diagnostics. Leveraging C++ and embedded systems expertise, implemented support for new Pipsolar commands such as QPIRI, QFLAG, and CUSTOM, while introducing robust error handling and reporting mechanisms. Refactored the publishing logic to output structured JSON across multiple data types, facilitating easier integration with downstream IoT dashboards and improving operator visibility. Developed a new function to interpret and publish device flag statuses, which streamlines state monitoring and reduces troubleshooting time, ultimately increasing the reliability and maintainability of the driver.
