Worked on the google/adk-python repository to deliver an invocation context propagation enhancement aimed at improving the correctness of event associations during asynchronous execution. The solution involved passing the invocation_id through the _setup_invocation_context function and propagating it to the Runner, ensuring that events are reliably linked to the correct invocation context across asynchronous runs. This update was supported by targeted unit tests to verify accurate context propagation, thereby increasing test coverage and reliability. The work leveraged Python and focused on asynchronous programming and backend development, demonstrating a methodical approach to enhancing traceability and maintainability in complex asynchronous workflows.
