Worked on the Homebrew/homebrew-core repository to deliver two features focused on Go tooling upgrade paths and long-term maintenance. Developed a Go-based rewrite of the goenv version manager, introducing it as goenv v3 with an alias goenv@3 to streamline user upgrades. To ensure compatibility for legacy CI/CD workflows, added a versioned goenv@2 formula with a deprecation notice, maintaining support through 2028. Employed Ruby and shell scripting for Homebrew formula development and package management, emphasizing deprecation planning and versioned formulas. The work reduced upgrade friction, preserved backward compatibility, and established a clear maintenance strategy for Go environment management in Homebrew.
