Worked on the wikimedia/wikipedia-ios repository to address a targeted bug affecting the Find in Page feature, specifically improving how search terms containing non-breaking hyphens are identified and highlighted. Using JavaScript and front end development skills, implemented a fix that ensures accurate search result matching and enhances the user experience by making content with non-breaking hyphens more discoverable. The solution focused on refining the search logic to handle special character cases, resulting in more relevant results and stable app performance. This work contributed to release stability by delivering a low-risk, well-documented bug fix with clear traceability to the associated ticket.
