Worked on cross-repository attribution hygiene for the Android and iOS Wikipedia apps, focusing on improving the accuracy of contributor metadata. Addressed inconsistencies by updating .mailmap files, in-code author comments, and plist credits to reflect current contributor information, ensuring proper attribution across both wikimedia/apps-android-wikipedia and wikimedia/wikipedia-ios repositories. Utilized git for version control and applied localization best practices to support accurate analytics and translation workflows. The work involved both PHP and plaintext edits, targeting backend metadata rather than user-facing features. These updates reduced the risk of misattribution, streamlined contributor analytics, and improved the reliability of translation and crediting processes.
