During January 2025, Chris Tennis expanded the icon library for the carbon-design-system/carbon repository by developing two new icons focused on AI business impact assessment and business metrics. He implemented these icons using JavaScript and YAML, ensuring they were properly categorized and integrated into snapshot tests across React, Vue, and core icon components. This approach guaranteed consistent icon usage throughout the UI and streamlined the design-to-development handoff. Chris applied his skills in component development, front end development, and iconography to enhance business storytelling and analytics features, ultimately supporting faster UI iterations and improving the reliability of visual elements across frameworks.
