Worked on the elastic/terraform-provider-elasticstack repository, focusing on backend development and testing using Go and Elasticsearch. Addressed two complex bugs by improving the handling of nested object mappings in component_template resources and normalizing single-element JSON arrays for semantic equality in JSON processing. Introduced new types and acceptance tests to ensure idempotent apply operations and prevent regressions, enhancing the reliability of Elasticsearch resource management. The technical approach involved updating mapping logic and aligning JSON deserialization with the go-elasticsearch client. This work strengthened the provider’s stability, reduced inconsistent results after apply, and improved overall compatibility with Elasticsearch APIs.
