During March 2025, Dehe focused on reliability improvements for the pcdshub/mfx repository, addressing a critical hardware control issue in fiber operations. Using Python and leveraging configuration management skills, Dehe corrected the evo_shutter1 shutter channel assignment in yano.py, changing it from channel 7 to 8 to resolve a misconfiguration that previously risked shutter misoperation. This targeted bug fix enhanced system reliability for fiber workflows and improved maintainability. Additionally, Dehe refined log formatting to aid debugging by introducing clearer newline separation. The work demonstrated practical depth in hardware control and configuration management, prioritizing robust, maintainable solutions over new feature development.
