During November 2024, Alex D. implemented environment-variable-based HTTP proxy configuration for logcli in the grafana/loki repository. By introducing opt-in support for ProxyFromEnvironment, Alex enabled users to manage proxy settings through environment variables, streamlining cross-network deployments and reducing the need for manual configuration. The solution centralized proxy management and removed hard-coded proxy assumptions, improving deployment flexibility and reliability across diverse environments.
