Worked on enhancing the security and stability of the ticdc telemetry pipeline by addressing a critical vulnerability in its OpenTelemetry integration. Focused on backend development using Go, the developer upgraded the OpenTelemetry SDK to version 1.43.0 within the pingcap/ticdc repository to resolve CVE-2026-24051. This targeted dependency update hardened telemetry data collection against known threats while preserving existing functionality for telemetry consumers. The approach ensured minimal disruption to users and maintained data integrity. The work demonstrated careful attention to secure software practices and effective use of Go for backend systems, with a clear focus on risk reduction and operational continuity.
