During December 2024, Deepak Sahu developed a foundational GitHub integration entity definition for the newrelic/entity-definitions repository, focusing on structured configuration management within the NGEP domain. Leveraging YAML and principles of Infrastructure as Code, Deepak introduced an entity definition that incorporates manual expiration and a non-alertable flag, establishing a governance model for GitHub integration configurations. This work enables centralized management and lays the groundwork for future automation and alerting strategies. While the contribution was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, it demonstrated a methodical approach to configuration management using declarative infrastructure techniques.
