Worked on the Mirantis/hmc repository to deliver support for using FluxCD GitRepository as a Helm chart source within the Sveltos addon, expanding deployment automation capabilities. Extended the helmChartFromSpecOrRef logic to extract chart metadata such as versions and repository URLs directly from Git repositories, enabling seamless integration alongside existing HelmRepository sources. This approach automated the process of sourcing Helm charts from Git, reducing manual configuration and improving deployment reliability. The work demonstrated proficiency in Go, Helm, and Kubernetes, with a focus on controller logic and FluxCD integration. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting careful implementation and testing.
