In August 2025, Michele Dotta enhanced CI/CD observability for the scala/scala3 repository by developing Develocity Build Scan Nightly Tagging. This feature, implemented in Scala and leveraging build automation skills, automatically applies a NIGHTLY tag to build scans for nightly runs based on the isNightly flag. The approach improved organization and traceability of nightly build data, reducing manual tagging and enabling faster triage of regressions. By laying the foundation for better metrics and streamlined debugging, Michele’s work addressed a key pain point in nightly build management, demonstrating depth in CI/CD pipeline optimization and thoughtful integration with existing build infrastructure.
