During December 2024, Dryg Dryg focused on enhancing the IBM/IM-ios repository by delivering comprehensive Russian localization throughout the iOS application. Leveraging Objective-C and Swift, Dryg updated user interface strings and integrated translations into core features such as polls, chat, voice broadcasting, space creation, and message threading. The work utilized a Weblate-driven translation management workflow, resulting in eight targeted commits that ensured consistent Russian language support. This update improved accessibility and user experience for Russian-speaking users, aligning with broader localization strategies. Dryg’s contributions established a scalable process for future localization updates, demonstrating depth in both iOS development and translation management.
