Worked on the Shopify/cli repository to optimize the extension template generation process by introducing a filtering mechanism that selects requested templates before evaluating organization flags. This approach reduced unnecessary API calls and improved the efficiency of template generation workflows. The implementation involved updating interfaces to accommodate the new filtering logic and developing a comprehensive suite of unit tests using Vitest to ensure reliability and prevent regressions. Leveraging skills in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, the work was delivered as a focused, well-documented commit with collaborative code review, maintaining stability and performance across the template generation path throughout the development cycle.
