Contributed to the CS350C-SP25/ozone-processor repository by developing core infrastructure for register management in a processor architecture. Built a register file module supporting multi-register writes and mask-based updates, providing robust storage and control for physical registers. Enhanced the reg_map module to improve architectural-to-physical register mapping, adding initialization, multi-entry handling, and dependency refactoring for better integration. Designed and optimized a free list module to manage allocation and deallocation of registers, transitioning logic toward a combinational approach and improving stall signaling. All work was implemented in SystemVerilog, leveraging skills in digital logic design, hardware description languages, and register allocation techniques.
April 2025 monthly highlights for CS350C-SP25/ozone-processor focused on core register storage, architectural-to-physical mapping, and register allocation infrastructure. Delivered three primary features with targeted refactors to improve stability, maintainability, and future performance, positioning the project for higher throughput in the next development cycle.
