During June 2026, contributed to the Shopify/cli repository by developing a Flexible Deployment Config with App Context feature. This work extended the ExtensionInstance.deployConfig method to accept application-specific configuration, enabling deployments to be tailored per app context. Using Node.js and TypeScript, the implementation improved deployment workflows by allowing for more granular and consistent configuration management across environments. The approach laid the foundation for per-app configuration governance, reducing manual configuration drift and supporting multi-app deployment scenarios. By focusing on full stack development principles, the changes aligned with roadmap goals and enhanced deployment readiness without introducing new bugs during the development period.
