Worked on the manytask/manytask repository to address a critical issue in final score calculation when deadline checks are disabled. The solution involved refactoring the _update_score function in Python to ensure reported scores are accurately incorporated regardless of the check_deadline setting. Enhanced logging was added around score processing, improving observability and simplifying debugging for backend analytics. This backend development effort focused on maintaining data integrity and reducing discrepancies in stakeholder reporting. By prioritizing traceability and robust API development practices, the work strengthened the reliability of scoring logic and supported downstream analytics, demonstrating careful attention to both code quality and operational transparency.
