Worked on enhancing the test infrastructure for the manytask/manytask repository, focusing on improving reliability and maintainability of the test suite. Refactored test_db_api.py by consolidating fixtures and helper functions, which reduced duplication and streamlined test setup. Restored YAML-based utilities to stabilize test data handling, making tests more readable and less fragile. Leveraged Python and YAML to ensure all existing tests continued to pass without behavioral changes, supporting continuous integration confidence. These improvements enabled faster iteration, easier onboarding for new contributors, and reduced long-term maintenance costs, while maintaining clarity and consistency across the testing framework throughout the development cycle.
