Eras upgraded the Postfix MTA package in the winterheart/gentoo repository by introducing the 3.10_pre20241027 pre-release and removing the previous 3.10_pre20241025 version. Using Shell scripting and leveraging expertise in build systems and package management, Eras updated the ebuild filename and manifest checksums to ensure accurate version tracking and reliable installation for users. This work maintained alignment with upstream pre-release channels and preserved a clean upgrade path, reducing the risk of version drift. The changes were delivered in a single, well-documented commit, reflecting disciplined release hygiene and careful version control practices over the course of the month.
