Worked on enhancing the smithy-lang/smithy repository by delivering new API Gateway Integration Trait features focused on secure and flexible API configurations. Developed and integrated fields such as tlsConfig for TLS settings, responseTransferMode for payload transfer modes, and integrationTarget to support VPC Links V2, introducing a nested TlsConfig structure. Extended the OpenAPI mapper and NodeMapper serialization to ensure these new fields are automatically mapped and persisted. Updated CloudFormationSubstitution paths to handle integrationTarget ARN values, and revised documentation to reflect these changes. Utilized Java, YAML, and JSON to implement these improvements, reducing manual setup and supporting advanced API deployment scenarios.
