Evalds delivered Latvian localization across the jellyfin/jellyfin and jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv repositories, expanding accessibility for Latvian-speaking users. Using JavaScript and XML, Evalds implemented high-coverage translations through the Weblate platform, ensuring that both the Jellyfin core and Android platforms reflected consistent, up-to-date Latvian strings. This work involved synchronizing translation workflows across multiple repositories, resulting in nearly complete localization coverage—Android reached approximately 98.7% translated strings, while Android TV achieved 558 out of 559 strings localized. By focusing on open source contribution and translation, Evalds improved onboarding and usability for international users, supporting Jellyfin’s broader goal of global adoption.
