Worked on the EPF-MDE/git-first-steps repository to enhance contributor metadata management by introducing a new binary info file and updating the AUTHORS file to include an additional contributor. The implementation focused on improving onboarding and attribution accuracy, ensuring that downstream tooling consuming project metadata remains reliable. Leveraged Git for precise commit tracking and file management, with changes delivered through two targeted commits. The work emphasized careful handling of project documentation and metadata, utilizing shell scripting and version control best practices. No bug fixes were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on strengthening governance and maintaining accurate contributor records.
