Worked on the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository to enhance platform stability and observability for containerized services. Delivered features in Python focused on backend development, system programming, and container orchestration. Enabled ASIC polling by default, aligning initial polling with platform.json defaults to reduce manual configuration and improve early ASIC health visibility. Updated the ASIC thermal class to initialize polling database values on first iteration, addressing platform boot stability. Later, expanded ServiceChecker to recognize group entries in critical processes, improving monitoring coverage and eliminating blind spots. All changes were validated through CI pipelines and code review, ensuring production readiness and robust system health monitoring.
