Worked on the FreeTubeApp/FreeTube repository, focusing on enhancing security and user interface quality within the SOCKS proxy configuration flow. Addressed a bug where sensitive credentials could be exposed by implementing UI-level obfuscation for the username and password fields, ensuring these details remain hidden unless required. This approach reduced the risk of credential leakage and improved user trust in the proxy setup process. The work involved close collaboration with other contributors and included minor code hygiene improvements, such as correcting typos. Utilized Vue.js and JavaScript for front end development, demonstrating attention to security and maintainability in the application’s UI.
