Worked on improving the user experience of slide navigation in the hazelgrove/hazel repository by addressing an unintended keyboard shortcut issue. Focused on frontend development and bug fixing, the work involved removing a shortcut that allowed users to switch slides using number keys combined with the meta key on both Mac and PC platforms. This targeted change, implemented in Reason, reduced accidental slide changes and enhanced navigation predictability. The solution was carefully scoped to the keyboard handler to minimize risk and maintain code stability, reflecting a methodical approach to cross-platform interface consistency and maintainability within the project’s existing architecture.
