In August 2025, Greg Croisdale focused on improving user experience in the hazelgrove/hazel repository by addressing an unintended slide navigation issue. He removed a keyboard shortcut that allowed users to switch slides using number keys combined with the meta key on Mac and PC, which had caused accidental navigation and unpredictability. Using Reason and frontend development skills, Greg implemented a targeted bug fix that scoped changes specifically to the keyboard handler, minimizing risk and ensuring maintainability. Although the work was limited to a single bug fix, it demonstrated careful attention to cross-platform usability and a thoughtful, low-impact engineering approach.
