Worked on the DataDog/browser-sdk repository, focusing on reliability and configuration enhancements using TypeScript and front end development skills. Delivered a targeted bug fix by refining cookie parsing logic, ensuring empty cookies are handled as empty strings rather than undefined, and updated tests to improve regression safety. Subsequently, implemented remote configuration management improvements, introducing asynchronous loading with caching and a new required option to prevent SDK initialization on cache miss. Expanded test coverage to validate cache scenarios, enhancing startup reliability and configurability. Demonstrated a methodical approach to both bug resolution and feature development, with attention to robust testing and maintainable code.
