Worked on the Vandebron/gh-mpyl repository to deliver a performance optimization feature focused on project discovery within CI/CD pipelines and local development environments. Addressed slow file search operations by replacing the standard 'find' utility with 'fd' (fdfind), resulting in faster project discovery and reduced CI run times. Updated both the Dockerfile and a Python script to ensure 'fd' was installed and utilized across relevant environments. Leveraged skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and performance optimization, using Dockerfile, Python, and YAML to implement the solution. The work improved developer experience by streamlining search operations and accelerating workflow efficiency without introducing new bugs.
