Worked on the MegaMek/megamek repository to deliver four features focused on improving UI reliability, rendering correctness, and maintainability. Enhanced the ClickableLabel component by introducing a configurable hyperlink mode and refining HTML rendering, while standardizing event handling for better observability. Improved the EventBus subsystem with diagnostic logging and concurrency-safe listener management, supporting robust event-driven architecture. Introduced a singleton pattern for the NaturalOrderComparator to optimize memory usage and reduce redundant allocations. Refactored the TargetRoll logic by encapsulating state checks in helper methods, increasing code readability. Leveraged Java, Swing, and backend development skills to address maintainability and performance in a complex codebase.
June 2026 (MegaMek/megamek): Delivered UI reliability and performance improvements with a focus on rendering correctness, observability, and maintainability. Implementations span UI components, event-driven subsystems, and small-yet-impactful code cleanups that reduce future risks and enable faster feature delivery.
