During July 2025, HP contributed to the OpenTTD/OpenTTD repository by addressing inconsistencies in the English language file for game settings. Focusing on localization and text editing, HP standardized the capitalization of key terms such as Manual, Asymmetric, and Symmetric, ensuring uniformity across the user interface. This patch improved the clarity of user-facing text and reduced the risk of translation drift, making future maintenance more straightforward. Working primarily with text files and leveraging localization best practices, HP’s targeted update enhanced the overall consistency of the game’s settings presentation, resulting in a clearer and more reliable experience for both users and translators.
