Enhanced time-series imagery delivery in veda-ui by improving Titiler-CMR layer support for multi-band assets and datetime ranges using JavaScript and React. In MAAP-Project/maap-documentation, integrated interactive geospatial mapping in R notebooks and overhauled STAC API documentation, focusing on clear guidance and AWS S3 access patterns with Python and R. For OSGeo/gdal, implemented spatial reference system behavior controls for raster reads, enabling accurate cross-CRS filtering and improved STAC catalog integration, demonstrating depth in GDAL and raster data processing.
April 2026: OSGeo/gdal delivered a new Spatial Reference System Behavior Control for Raster Reads to improve cross-CRS filtering accuracy, interoperability, and performance. Implemented SRS_BEHAVIOR option (OVERRIDE/REPROJECT) addressing how SRS is applied during raster reads. This fixes prior issues where spatial filter rectangles were not transformed from the output SRS to the index layer's native SRS when SRS and bounds were provided, enabling REPROJECT mode to reproject STAC Catalogs to a target SRS. Result: more reliable spatial queries, reduced I/O, and smoother STAC catalog integration.
