Developed and delivered the DeleteSegments command for the iggy-rs/iggy repository, enabling targeted data retention and segment lifecycle management across CLI, SDK, and server components. This feature allows deletion of the oldest segments within a partition, supporting granular governance and storage cost control. The implementation focused on maintaining API consistency and user experience across all layers, aligning with broader retention strategies. Leveraging Rust for backend and CLI development, the work emphasized modular system design to ensure scalability and maintainability. The solution addressed compliance and operational needs by providing a robust workflow for managing partitioned data storage and retention policies.
