During May 2025, Diego Salazar enhanced the dbeaver/dbeaver repository by implementing a usability feature in the Database Navigator. He developed functionality to display the count of child nodes within expanded folders, giving users immediate insight into database object sizes directly in the navigation tree. This feature was made configurable through user preferences, allowing for tailored display options. Diego’s work involved Java-based UI development, preference management, and database navigation logic. The changes improved user experience and maintainability by providing clear, actionable information at a glance, while ensuring the implementation remained traceable and adaptable within the existing codebase. No bugs were reported.
