During May 2025, contributed to the dbeaver/dbeaver repository by developing a usability enhancement for the Database Navigator. This feature displays the count of child nodes within expanded folders, giving users immediate insight into the size of database objects directly in the navigation tree. The implementation involved Java-based UI development, database navigation logic, and preference management, allowing users to enable, disable, or configure the child-count display according to their needs. The work focused on improving user experience and maintainability, with changes tracked through a dedicated commit. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on this targeted feature addition.
