Developed a new topology diagnostics feature for the NVIDIA/doca-sosreport repository, enabling detailed hardware topology data capture through the integration of the nvidia-smi command with the topo -m option. This enhancement improved the sosreport tool’s ability to diagnose GPUDirect and RDMA connectivity issues by providing richer, topology-aware diagnostics for NVIDIA hardware. The work involved Python development, shell scripting, and system administration, focusing on commit-driven delivery and quality maintenance. By capturing comprehensive topology information, the feature accelerated issue triage and root-cause analysis for support teams, strengthening diagnostic capabilities without introducing major bug fixes during the development period.
