Developed a multilevel taxonomy field filter for the box-ui-elements repository, enhancing metadata filtering and user experience within the preview interface. The work involved implementing new front end components using JavaScript and TypeScript, as well as updating API interactions to support deeper taxonomy structures. Addressed stability by refining loading indicators and stabilizing taxonomy-related stories, ensuring a smoother and more reliable preview workflow. Maintained compatibility after package upgrades by updating tests and dependencies, including the addition of API mocks to prevent failures in evolving environments. Focused on robust testing and performance improvements, the changes supported ongoing feature rollout and long-term maintainability.
