Worked on the zowe-explorer-vscode repository to enhance user experience by implementing automatic closure of editor UI tabs when a sequential dataset is deleted. This feature addressed a UI synchronization issue, ensuring that stale or orphaned tabs no longer clutter the workspace and reducing confusion for developers managing datasets. The solution involved front end development using TypeScript, with a focus on UI state management and unit testing to ensure reliability. The changelog was updated to document the change, supporting traceability for product support. This work demonstrated an end-to-end approach to improving workflow consistency and maintaining a clean, intuitive user interface.
