During March 2026, contributed to the ministryofjustice/dns repository by implementing AWS ACM domain validation for the staging environment. This work involved adding a DNS validation record for staging.hmpps-performance-hub, enabling automated certificate validation for AWS services. The approach leveraged AWS Certificate Manager and DNS validation techniques, with configuration managed through YAML. By integrating this feature into the staging environment, the deployment process became more reliable and QA cycles were shortened, as certificate validation could now occur automatically. The work demonstrated practical skills in AWS, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, focusing on infrastructure automation and secure, streamlined deployment workflows.
