Developed a robust SD card driver using C and integrated FATFS to enable file system support over SPI communication on STM32 microcontrollers. The implementation emphasized thread-safe operations and asynchronous logging, ensuring that data handling did not block critical real-time tasks within the RTOS environment. Updates to the Makefile and inclusion of FATFS streamlined the build and deployment process. This work established a reliable foundation for on-device data logging and file-based export, addressing the challenges of resource-constrained hardware and improving embedded storage reliability and maintainability.
