Worked on user experience iteration for the Startup Prompt in the duckduckgo/remote-messaging-config repository, focusing on streamlining onboarding by removing the startup prompt to reduce friction for new users. Leveraged configuration management and user experience design skills to implement this feature using JSON, ensuring changes were easily reversible. After initial deployment, reintroduced the prompt to support easier access and user opt-in, demonstrating a controlled approach to UX experimentation and rollback. Maintained a clear and auditable commit history, enabling safe feature toggling and future decision-making. The work balanced streamlined onboarding with user control, aligning technical implementation with evolving product goals.
