Developed and rolled out cloud-aware navigation for the OpenHands/OpenHands repository, focusing on aligning the sidebar’s local navigation with cloud-based configuration interfaces. Leveraged React and TypeScript to implement logic that redirects users to external cloud-hosted settings pages and dynamically hides unsupported features, such as Plugins, when a cloud backend is active. This approach ensured a seamless and consistent user experience across both local and cloud modes while reducing potential user confusion and support complexity. Emphasized frontend development and UI/UX best practices, with thorough testing to validate navigation flows and feature visibility, resulting in a more intuitive and maintainable interface.
