Developed a Media Streaming Video Telemetry Entity for the newrelic/entity-definitions repository, enabling improved tracking and management of video streaming data within the New Relic platform. Focused on data modeling and entity definition, the work introduced a dedicated entity type with tailored telemetry rules to enhance observability for media streaming workloads. Implemented a default 8-day expiration policy to optimize data retention and storage efficiency, supporting better data lifecycle management and cost control. The solution was delivered using YAML, leveraging expertise in structured data definition and governance. This contribution strengthened the platform’s ability to monitor and manage streaming video telemetry data effectively.
