Worked on the DataDog/datadog-agent repository to deliver Cisco NSEL Bidirectional NetFlow support, enabling accurate processing of Cisco-specific NetFlow records by splitting bidirectional flows into two unidirectional flows and mapping relevant Cisco fields. Leveraged Go for backend development, focusing on concurrency and protocol parsing to ensure robust data handling. Developed comprehensive unit and integration tests using biflow PCAP data to validate the new functionality and improve reliability. Addressed a race condition in NetFlow integration tests by adjusting flow flush timeouts and enhancing test utilities, which increased test stability and confidence in continuous integration for NetFlow data processing environments.
