Worked on the openwrt/packages repository to migrate DNS update functionality for servercow.de to a new HTTPS-based API, replacing the previous update method to enhance reliability and security. Developed a dedicated shell script to automate DNS updates through the new API, enabling repeatable and efficient changes. Updated the ddns-scripts package configuration to ensure compatibility with the revised API, supporting seamless deployment and ongoing operation. Focused on API integration and DevOps practices, using JSON and shell scripting to implement the solution. Maintained clear commit messages and sign-offs, aligning with project conventions to improve code maintainability and traceability throughout the development process.
