During July 2025, Velusamy Kandasamy developed end-to-end file management capabilities for the microsoft/sonic-gnmi-dev repository, focusing on scalable and maintainable gNOI File Service support. He architected a dedicated file service module in Go, enabling operations such as file statistics retrieval, transfer, and removal through gNOI and gRPC. Velusamy enhanced the gnoi_client library to support these new file operations, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows. He prioritized reliability by implementing comprehensive unit tests, which improved validation and reduced regression risk. His work leveraged skills in DBus, file services, and unit testing, delivering a robust foundation for future file management features.
