During January 2025, Kic Chen developed a monthly invoice retrieval feature for the ctc-uci/lpa repository, focusing on accurate financial reporting and analytics. Leveraging Express.js, Node.js, and SQL, Kic implemented month-based filtering and input validation, enabling users to query invoices by specifying a date range corresponding to the first and last days of a given month. The backend changes included updating the invoices route to enforce date format validation, reducing erroneous queries and supporting reliable monthly reporting. This work established a foundation for future analytics features, addressing business needs for timely revenue recognition and improved data quality in financial processes.
