In April 2025, Klimermana focused on strengthening dependency management for the nerfstudio-project/nerfstudio repository by delivering a targeted upgrade to the project's protobuf compatibility. Working with TOML and leveraging expertise in dependency management, Klimermana updated the pyproject.toml configuration to support protobuf versions up to v5 while maintaining explicit exclusions for known problematic releases. This change enabled the project to adopt newer protobuf features and libraries, reducing integration risks and improving build reliability. The work enhanced CI stability and streamlined downstream integrations, reflecting a thoughtful approach to release hygiene and future-proofing the codebase against evolving ecosystem requirements.
