Worked on Debezium and OpenROAD repositories, delivering backend features and reliability improvements over three months. Enhanced event routing in Debezium by introducing configurable handling for missing fields and robust error validation, using Java and Kafka to support evolving schemas. Developed GTID-agnostic recovery for the MySQL Source Connector, expanding recovery flexibility and aligning behavior with MariaDB connectors, while updating documentation and adding comprehensive unit tests. In OpenROAD, contributed C++ and Tcl code to validate region coordinates and synchronize CLOCK signal handling across different load orders, improving data integrity and operational consistency. Emphasized thorough testing, documentation, and cross-tool integration throughout the work.
June 2026: Delivered targeted enhancements across Debezium and OpenROAD with a focus on documentation clarity, data integrity validations, and cross-tool consistency to reduce operational risk and shorten debugging cycles. The work spans documentation improvements for SMT behavior in Debezium and two OpenROAD fixes that ensure reliable region parsing and timing signal handling across different load orders. These changes improve product reliability, developer onboarding, and downstream integration stability.
